MARDSDEN PARK & RIVERSTONE; destroying wetlands, destroying habitat, jeopardising lives. Three years ago the NSW government said this flood-prone land in Sydney’s north- west was uninhabitable and would put lives at risk. Now it has rezoned the same land, in Marsden Park and Riverstone, for 4,000 new homes and 1500 new jobs – a rezoning that will destroy the wetlands that are home to rare and migratory species.
