Why can’t Sydney DO DENSITY BETTER? Jacqui Brosnan is an ordinary Sydneysider. Until recently, she had no interest in planning. None. Then, appalled by the bland, cheek-by-jowl no-consultation towers emerging everywhere from her street in Drummoyne to Rhodes and Ryde, Blacktown and Burwood, Paddington, Bondi Junction and Potts Point, and by the NET LOSS of affordable housing that they represent, she set up DOING DENSITY BETTER. It’s an organisation designed to express community disquiet at recent planning changes and how the benefits seem so outweighed by the losses.
