The Artists & Key Acts
| Stelarc – The Body as Mechanised Apparatus
Internationally renowned for pushing the absolute limits of human biology and technology, Stelarc moves past traditional body modifications to explore a truly symbiotic, cybernetic future. Encasing himself in cutting-edge machinery, he transforms his physical presence into a mechanized extension of evolving human potential. For this event, he will showcase his latest sound-triggering wearable machines, including an exclusive exoskeleton designed in collaboration with Ben Merrylees and James Hullick.
| James Hullick & The Amplified Elephants – Reimagined Sound Worlds
James Hullick’s remarkable robotic sound machines present an alternative futurist pathway born from the evolution of the industrial revolution. Through his custom creation-augmenting machines, traditional sound-making is completely reimagined, where classic instruments like the violin are entirely redesigned.
Performing as separate acts, both Hullick and the pioneering neurodiverse ensemble The Amplified Elephants build anciently modern sonic landscapes.
Together, they invite audiences into an immersive world of brilliant innovation, raw wonder, and unexpected beauty.
